My 7:00 Minute Mile
No. I did not run a mile in 7 minutes. I ran for 7 minutes. Stopped. Then ran again until I reached a mile. Rested. Then repeated the process.
I was in ARUBA in November, 2011 where the heat, sun and humidity at 8:30 in the morning is pretty intense. So to burn off some of the festivities from the night before, I got in a pretty good AM workout for the 5 of 7 days we were at the RUI resort.
Funny thing, Chris, a street vendor, ran along side me while continuing his sales pitch trying to sell me a time share condo. My new best friend!

Day 3
Day 2
A few aches today. I noticed it was 59 degrees by the time I got home. I was 7:00 PM and dark. After changing into my bright running clothes I gathered up Bailey and off we went on a gradual pace to loosen up. Our pace quickened as we loosened up and I was surprised to see the energy I had at the finish line. Additionally, I noticed we ran 3 minutes faster than the morning before.
Ha!
Day 1
OK Bailey & I began our 2011 running campaign on Sunday. It was an easy 3 miles just enough to work on our endurance and break a swet. The things that go through my mind while I run is pretty frightening. For example, in no particular order, here is a list of future blog topics:
1. Yuck
2. Guitar Town & other Steve Earle songs
3. Old or New Running Shoes?
4. Running Video for You Tube
5. Rabbits
6. How To Spend $50.
